Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of payroll-related journal entries before posting in the general ledger
• Conduct in-depth analysis of payroll, tax, and benefit accounts to identify inconsistencies and recommend enhancements
• Serve as a primary contact during audits, providing documentation and assisting with remediation efforts

Qualifications

• Strong experience in payroll accounting and payroll systems
• Deep understanding of GAAP and payroll compliance requirements
• Experience with benefit and pension programs
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with large ERP environments
• Prior audit exposure is a plus
