Senior Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

Serving as an advanced practitioner on the Payroll Operations team, the full-time Senior Payroll Specialist will manage complex remittance operations, payroll corrections, and union compliance in a high-volume, multi-state environment while mentoring teammates and driving process improvements remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll remittance operations, including corrections, reversals, and contribution remittances, ensuring clear documentation and SLA compliance
• Act as an escalation point for complex union and agency issues, identifying root causes and coordinating resolutions with payroll teams
• Mentor team members on complex remittance and compliance matters, enhancing the overall skill level of the team

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of end-to-end, multi-state payroll processing experience
• Advanced union expertise with the ability to handle complex remittance and compliance issues independently
• Experience in third-party payroll or the entertainment/film industry is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Notion and Salesforce, along with intermediate Excel skills
• FPC or CPP certification preferred
