Senior Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

Leading biweekly payroll processing for U.S. salaried and hourly employees, the full-time Senior Payroll Specialist will manage the complete payroll cycle while collaborating with HR, Finance, and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end biweekly U.S. payroll processing, including equity-related payroll for employees
• Compile and validate payroll input from multiple sources to ensure accuracy before each payroll cycle
• Resolve employee payroll inquiries promptly and perform root cause analysis to prevent future issues

Required qualifications

• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and federal, state, and local tax compliance
• Proven ability to process payroll for populations receiving equity compensation, such as restricted stock units
• Hands-on proficiency with payroll platforms (e.g., UKG Pro, Workday HCM) in high-volume environments
• Track record of independently resolving complex payroll issues with documented outcomes
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian tools (Jira), and cloud-native data environments
