Senior Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

Leading biweekly payroll processing for U.S. salaried and hourly employees, the full-time Senior Payroll Specialist will manage the complete payroll cycle, including equity-related payroll, while collaborating with HR, Finance, and Legal teams in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end biweekly U.S. payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Drive resolution of employee payroll inquiries and perform root cause analysis to prevent issues
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in payroll workflows

Required qualifications:

• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and federal, state, and local tax compliance
• Proven experience with payroll for equity compensation, including restricted stock units
• Hands-on proficiency with payroll platforms and HRIS integrations in high-volume environments
• Track record of independently resolving complex payroll issues with documented improvements
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian tools (Jira), and cloud-native data environments
