Job Summary
Serving as a subject matter expert in payroll tax compliance, the full-time Senior Payroll Tax Specialist will manage complex payroll tax matters for U.S. and Canadian operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and provincial regulations while supporting audit requests and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary payroll tax subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with multi-state and Canadian tax regulations
- Independently research and resolve complex payroll tax issues and agency inquiries
- Lead payroll tax compliance activities for employee hires and organizational changes, ensuring accurate tax withholding and reporting
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in multi-state and Canadian payroll tax compliance
- Experience with UKGPro payroll and handling large payroll volumes (ideally for 10,000+ employees)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, local, and Canadian tax regulations
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and complex formulas
- US citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain security clearance as needed
