Job Summary
Driving energy performance analysis across a diverse fleet, the full-time Senior Performance Engineer will model expected versus actual energy production, calculate performance metrics, and investigate underperformance while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Model and monitor energy performance across various asset types using fleet monitoring platforms and weather data
- Calculate and defend contractual performance metrics, supporting billing and reporting processes
- Investigate underperformance to root cause and drive corrective actions with operations and field services
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field
- 8+ years in solar or storage performance engineering, with at least 3 years in commercial or utility-scale assets
- Hands-on experience with PV performance modeling and satellite irradiance datasets
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for engineering analysis
- Working knowledge of monitoring, metering, and SCADA data acquisition protocols
