Senior Philanthropy Advisor

Job Summary

To support a growing philanthropy function, the full-time Senior Philanthropy Advisor will manage and advise a portfolio of major donors, shaping relationship strategies and enhancing donor engagement through data-driven insights and tailored communications in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build long-term, trust-based relationships with major donors to deepen their understanding of GiveWell's work
• Identify and communicate relevant insights from research to inform major donor decision-making
• Lead initiatives to improve accessibility of GiveWell's work through donor communications and events

Required qualifications

• Proven experience managing high-stakes relationships with major donors or similar stakeholders
• Exceptional relationship management skills with high emotional intelligence and an advisory mindset
• Interest in global health and development, with the ability to engage with complex research
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to produce original content for discerning audiences
• Leadership experience in collaborating with senior staff and influencing across teams
