Senior PHP Developer

Job Summary

Leading the design and evolution of a microservice-based Laravel architecture, the full-time Senior PHP Developer will own architectural decisions, optimize services, and mentor engineers while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and optimize microservices within a distributed Laravel environment
• Drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across services while defining service boundaries and API contracts
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and enforce engineering standards for testing and documentation

Required qualifications

• 8-12 years of professional PHP development experience with deep hands-on Laravel expertise
• Proven software architecture experience in designing and optimizing microservices and API contracts
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and architectural trade-offs
• Proficient in modern PHP (8.x), OOP fundamentals, and SQL skills (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Solid experience with REST APIs, Git, and automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit/Pest)
