Senior Physician Coder

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Senior Physician Coder will manage coding accuracy and compliance for medical records while ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures in medical records
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain accuracy
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and improve coding practices

Required qualifications

• Certification as a Professional Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
