Senior Piping Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Process Piping Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and implementation of piping systems for industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed piping designs, layouts, and specifications, and perform stress analysis and thermal expansion calculations
• Lead piping engineering efforts for projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while coordinating with other engineering disciplines
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, conduct quality assurance checks, and troubleshoot issues related to piping systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Proven track record in managing large-scale piping projects in industries such as oil and gas or chemical processing
• Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant, CAESAR II)
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science
• Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PE license, PMP certification) are preferred
