Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Senior Plan Document Specialist will draft, review, audit, and maintain employee benefit plan documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) for self-funded health plans, ensuring compliance with federal regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and maintain employee benefit plan documents and SPDs, ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency before document distribution
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather plan information and ensure timely completion of documents
Required qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience drafting employee benefit plan documents and SPDs
  • Strong knowledge of self-funded employee benefit plans and Third-Party Administration (TPA) operations
  • Comprehensive understanding of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
