Senior Plant Controls Engineer

Job Summary

Leading multiple controls engineering projects, the full-time Senior Plant Controls Engineer will manage the design, implementation, and commissioning of control systems for gas turbines and balance of plant systems, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document project-level controls strategies, ensuring successful project execution from initiation to commercial operation
• Lead the design and implementation of control systems, driving architecture and verification requirements while managing customer expectations
• Coordinate with project managers to establish project schedules and cost targets, ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field from an accredited institution
• 10+ years of experience in the combined cycle power plant industry
• Proven experience in the design and application of power generation controls and systems integration
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive complex projects to completion
• Strong technical writing skills and experience in technical leadership of diverse teams
