Senior Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To build the paved road for product teams and drive adoption at scale, the full-time Senior Platform Engineer will design and operate the developer platform focusing on AI-native tooling while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and extend service provisioning foundations using Backstage for service templating and contribute to an AI-enriched service catalog
• Build and scale agent golden paths by evolving agentic infrastructure and defining deployment standards for AI agents
• Drive service mesh adoption by leading the rollout of Istio and creating straightforward golden paths and runbooks for product teams

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps, SRE, Software, or Platform Engineer with a focus on services and tooling
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Production experience with Backstage or similar developer portals, service catalogs, and software templates
• Proficiency in cloud and container technologies (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Istio) and infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar)
• Strong coding skills in at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Java, or Python, along with familiarity with multi-repo change management
