Senior Platform Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Platform Engineer on the Data & Performance Enablement team, the successful candidate will design and implement platforms for distributed event streaming technologies, develop key features for data management systems, and mentor junior engineers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation for data platform provisioning, backups, and user management
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and reliability issues in data systems
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data streaming services, security, and scalability

Required qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience
• Strong experience with messaging platforms (Kafka/Redis)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python)
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS preferred)
