Senior Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on observability engineering and infrastructure optimization, the full-time Senior Platform Engineer will enhance the reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of platform infrastructure while working remotely across AWS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead observability initiatives and design monitoring, telemetry, and alerting systems
• Drive infrastructure cost optimization initiatives and analyze utilization for performance improvements
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance platform reliability, scalability, and operational visibility

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with HashiCorp Nomad and deep expertise with Datadog
• Experience implementing observability platforms using OpenTelemetry and modern monitoring tools
• Strong knowledge of AWS cost optimization strategies and S3 lifecycle management
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices, particularly using Terraform
