Senior Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To design, secure, and optimize enterprise data infrastructure, the remote contract Senior Platform Engineer will own the foundational architecture of the Databricks Lakehouse, ensuring efficient building within a secure and cost-controlled ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the architecture, deployment, and daily support of enterprise Databricks Workspaces
• Implement Unity Catalog for data lineage and access control
• Design global cluster policies to balance user agility with cost while optimizing complex Spark configurations

Required Qualifications

• Advanced Databricks administration experience (Workspaces, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake)
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP via Terraform (IaC)
• Deep knowledge of Apache Spark internals and Spark UI tuning
• Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data masking
• Proficiency in building automated deployment tracks using Git, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
