Senior Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Platform Engineer to design and build AWS infrastructure as code using Terraform and Pulumi, drive migration to microservices, and enhance observability practices, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure as code with a focus on reusable modules and safe change management
- Drive the migration from monolithic services to a microservices architecture, collaborating with product engineering teams
- Lead incident response efforts and mentor engineers while setting technical direction for platform standards
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles with a strong software development background
- Deep production experience with Terraform and hands-on experience with Pulumi
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS services including ECS, EC2, and networking
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or TypeScript
- Experience with decomposing monolithic applications and migrating to microservices
