Senior Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the bfARENAS platform end-to-end, the full-time Staff Platform Engineer will lead the evolution of a client-grade decision-adjudication system by advancing algorithms, building LLM-powered components, and constructing user interfaces for pharmaceutical scientists, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Advance core algorithms to improve ranking quality and scaling characteristics
• Build and refine the LLM-powered agent layer for decision problem structuring
• Construct human-in-the-loop interfaces for domain experts to interact with the platform

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of production software engineering experience, including 2+ years with LLM-powered systems
• Strong Python coding experience across the entire codebase
• Real statistical literacy with a background in ranking and pairwise comparison models
• Demonstrated ability to design evaluation harnesses for LLM systems
• Comfort owning a system end-to-end across algorithms, infrastructure, and user-facing experience
