Senior Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To support a mission-critical federal platform, the fully remote Senior Platform Engineer will build and operate CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and observability foundations while utilizing tools like Terraform, GitLab, and Datadog.
Key responsibilities
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines and Terraform templates to support the engineering platform
- Implement and maintain observability on Datadog, including instrumentation and alerting
- Support environment automation and improve deployment safety and configuration consistency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Hands-on experience with delivery pipelines and infrastructure automation for high-availability systems
- Demonstrated ability to improve environment stability and deployment safety
- Experience with monitoring and alerting for effective incident response
- Strong automation skills to enhance team velocity and eliminate recurring operational work
