Senior Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing platform initiative, the contract-to-hire Senior Platform Engineer will lead the design and build of a DevOps-based pipeline using AWS, Kubernetes, and automation tools, while working remotely within the EST timezone.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a product-like platform and pipeline, ensuring adherence to security best practices
- Drive the build effort with minimal guidance, taking ownership of projects from day one
- Utilize expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code to create reusable components and custom enhancements
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- At least six years of relevant experience, with strong expertise in AWS infrastructure and DevSecOps principles
- Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Terraform and Python
- Experience with container technologies, specifically Kubernetes and Docker
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
