Senior Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing project, the contract-to-hire Senior Platform Engineer will lead the development of a product-like platform and pipeline, focusing on AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices while working remotely in the EST timezone.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the design and build of a DevOps-based build process using Jenkins, incorporating security best practices
- Take ownership of the build effort with minimal guidance, ensuring the development of reusable components and custom enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation solutions and maintain a highly automated environment
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- At least six years of related experience, with a strong foundation in AWS architecture and container technologies
- Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Terraform and Python
- Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and AWS services including EC2, S3, and RDS
