Senior Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance the development process in a hybrid work environment, the full-time Senior Platform Engineer will own the build-and-test loop, focusing on modernizing the JavaScript and TypeScript build systems, improving CI efficiency, and creating reliable test automation frameworks.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the migration to a maintained successor for Node Bazel rules and modernize the JS toolchain
- Establish and drive down CI build and test times through improved caching and incremental builds
- Develop observable build metrics and enhance the developer experience for test automation
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience owning a monorepo build system at scale, with a strong preference for Bazel
- Proven experience with CI/CD platforms, including incremental builds and test sharding
- Deep understanding of production bundler pipelines and test suites
- Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js module resolution
- Experience in ensuring reproducible build results and eliminating hidden dependencies
