Senior Policy and Research Director

Job Summary

Leading the policy and research team, the full-time remote Senior Director of Policy and Research will guide high-impact projects, strengthen analytical rigor, and build partnerships to translate ambitious economic ideas into actionable policy and public initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee workflows and manage program managers to create research and policy products, setting strategic priorities for maximum impact
• Develop and execute team strategy, proposing projects to advance economic security initiatives at federal and state levels
• Build and sustain partnerships with various organizations to advocate for new economic policy ideas and provide technical assistance to policymakers

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in economic policy and a proven track record of strategic coalition building
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and developing colleagues
• Proficiency in quantitative methods and familiarity with statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Stata, Python)
• Ability to distill complex ideas into persuasive written content for policy and public audiences
• Experience liaising with policy experts, legislative staff, and government officials on economic policy issues
