Job Summary
Managing a highly complex portfolio of grants and contracts, the full-time Senior Portfolio Manager will oversee pre-award and post-award administration, provide training and support to team members, and ensure compliance with sponsor and university guidelines in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development, preparation, and submission of research proposals while ensuring compliance with agency and university guidelines
- Manage financial and administrative oversight of assigned grants and contracts, including budget reconciliation and reporting
- Coordinate internal training initiatives and serve as a subject-matter expert to support continuous learning within the team
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; research administration certifications preferred (e.g., Certified Research Administrator)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant grants and contracts experience; 10+ years preferred in full lifecycle research administration
- Strong knowledge of pre-award and post-award administration and federal regulations
- Advanced skills in budgeting, financial reporting, and data analysis, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
