Senior Power Consultant
Job Summary
To support mining performance assurance, the full-time Senior Power Consultant will serve as the internal expert on energy markets, demand response, and power procurement, coordinating power scheduling and developing strategies to optimize costs while working remotely within specified locations.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate day-ahead and real-time power scheduling with the company's REP and QSE across deregulated markets
- Design and implement demand response strategies to maximize revenue and reduce power costs
- Lead negotiations for power supply agreements and monitor regulatory developments affecting power markets
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a QSE, power marketing company, IPP, or energy consultancy with trading responsibilities
- Proven track record in demand response program management and block energy hedging
- Proficiency with ERCOT and PJM market tools and strong financial modeling skills
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and market rules related to energy procurement
- Familiarity with Bitcoin mining load profiles and related economic strategies is a plus
