Job Summary
Supporting transmission-level planning and system impact studies, the full-time Senior Power System Engineer will focus on large load and renewable interconnections for utility-scale projects and hyperscale data centers, utilizing hands-on modeling and analytical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct large load and generation interconnection studies, applying NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO, and TSP requirements
- Develop and validate steady state and dynamic models using ETAP, PSSE, PSS E, and PSCAD for various energy resources
- Lead Control Hardware-in-the-Loop (CHIL) testing and support microgrid design and control studies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Systems preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in power systems planning and interconnection
- Strong expertise in PSCAD/RSCAD EMT modeling and PPC/MPC control strategies
- Experience with large load interconnection studies, particularly in data centers
- Familiarity with NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO, and TSP requirements for generation and large load interconnections
