Senior Premium Accountant

Job Summary

To support the premium accounting team, the full-time Senior Premium Accountant will manage the premium accounting and bordereaux reporting functions for key stop loss programs, collaborating with internal teams and external partners while driving operational efficiency initiatives, either from the Phoenix, AZ office or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the premium accounting and bordereaux reporting for stop loss programs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address stop loss accounting issues and enhance operational efficiency
• Conduct reconciliations of claims payments, receipts, and bank accounts, while resolving complex discrepancies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a mid-level finance and accounting position
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with medical stop loss insurance is a plus
• Familiarity with Connexure ESL (Formerly David Young Consulting) system is desired
