Senior Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

To lead the technical vision for AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) at an enterprise scale, the contract Senior Principal AI Engineer will operate remotely, overseeing the full lifecycle of AI engineering, including model training, orchestration, and establishing enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the multi-year technical vision and enterprise standards for AIaaS while serving as the final technical authority for complex AI challenges
• Define and own the enterprise model-training strategy, including hands-on training and evaluation of AI/ML models and LLMs
• Architect the orchestration layers of the central AI system, ensuring optimal integration of tools and data across production environments

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in AI/ML software engineering with a proven track record of delivering production AI at enterprise scale
• Hands-on mastery in training and fine-tuning AI/ML models and LLM orchestration, including parameter-efficient methods
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architecture, along with large-scale data management
• Proven ability to design developer platforms and multi-agent orchestrations that support multiple teams
• Experience in regulated SaaS environments, meeting security and compliance requirements
