Senior Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Principal Data Engineer / Data Architect.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the migration/optimization of data lakehouse architecture using Databricks
• Serve as the escalation point for production issues, ensuring 24/7 reliability of mission-critical pipelines
• Translate product roadmaps into technical requirements while maintaining architectural integrity

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience within the Databricks ecosystem
• Deep proficiency in Spark (PySpark/Scala), Python, and SQL; experience with GCP (BigQuery) is a plus
• Proven experience managing petabyte-scale datasets and high-concurrency pipelines
• 10+ years in Data Engineering, with at least 3 years in a Principal or Architect capacity
• Must be a self-starter capable of executing high-level concepts with minimal supervision
