Senior Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

To design and implement a comprehensive data analytics stack, the full-time Senior Principal Data Engineer will set architectural direction, build foundational data pipelines, and establish standards for integrating AI-assisted engineering tools, all while working in a flexible hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the analytics stack's modeling and orchestration layers to transform raw data into trusted data products
• Design and build well-tested data pipelines, establishing standards and tooling for the broader team
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define metrics and deliver data products that meet business needs

Required qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of software/data engineering experience with a focus on system design and data architecture
• Demonstrated experience in architecting and delivering large-scale analytics platforms
• Deep expertise in SQL and modern data transformation practices
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses and pipeline orchestration in production
