Senior Principal Engineer
Job Summary
Leading technical strategy and architecture for Rovo experiences, the full-time Senior Principal Engineer will manage initiatives across Rovo Chat, Rovo Search, Growth, and Rovo Apps & Clients, ensuring scalable and reliable AI experiences in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Shape the convergence of Search and Chat to enhance user interactions and information retrieval
- Drive development of reusable experience foundations across Atlassian products and third-party tools
- Lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives while mentoring senior engineers and promoting technical excellence
Required qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering with expertise in platform and product engineering at scale
- Proven ability to architect and operate large-scale, distributed systems and user-facing applications
- Strong product mindset with UX sensibility and full stack or strong back-end experience
- Experience leading multi-year, cross-organizational technical initiatives
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for influencing cross-functional teams
