Job Summary
Designing, implementing, and testing distributed control systems, the full-time Senior Principal Systems & Controls Engineer will oversee engineering design and support for nuclear power industry projects, while working onsite in Idaho Falls or remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage engineering design, construction, and installation of control systems, ensuring quality and adherence to technical standards
- Coordinate with internal teams to allocate resources and monitor project progress, while mentoring engineering teams for skill advancement
- Develop and review system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure effective communication with customers throughout project lifecycles
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with PLC and DCS programming and design, including interfacing with field devices
- Ability to generate conceptual designs for complex systems and develop proposals for projects
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (less than 10%)
