Senior Principal Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Leading high-impact internal projects, the part-time Senior Principal Systems Engineer will manage skill development and execution processes while collaborating with the systems engineering community in a primarily remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Chief Systems Engineer on systems engineering strategy and roadmap development
• Oversee the development of guidance and training materials related to systems engineering skills, tools, and processes
• Mentor other system engineers and facilitate collaborative discussions within the engineering community

Required qualifications

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field, with 8 or more years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and meeting performance goals
• Understanding of the traditional systems engineering lifecycle and associated processes
• Experience in systems engineering processes such as architecture development and requirements allocation
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of engineering activities
