Senior Prior Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Prior Authorization Specialist who will ensure authorizations are in place for services performed prior to patient admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review insurance benefits and secure authorizations for services
• Appeal pre-service authorization denials and authorization-related claim denials
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and teams to enhance patient experience and reduce out-of-pocket costs

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; post-secondary education in a related field preferred
• Three years' experience in a healthcare or related field, preferably in medical billing/prior authorization/insurance
• Knowledge of governmental and commercial payors and medical billing requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and maintain communication via multiple channels
• Skill in Microsoft Office
