Senior Prior Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Prior Authorization Specialist to ensure authorizations are in place for services prior to patient admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review insurance benefits and secure authorizations for services
• Appeal pre-service authorization denials and authorization-related claim denials
• Promote an excellent patient experience by reducing out-of-pocket costs for patients and families

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; post-secondary education in a related field preferred
• Three years' experience in a healthcare or related field
• Preferred experience includes three years' experience in medical billing, prior authorization, or insurance
• Knowledge of governmental and commercial payors and medical billing requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and maintain communication via various channels
