Senior Privacy Analyst

Job Summary

To support a large global retailer's Canadian operations, the remote Senior Privacy Analyst will build and implement a Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) program, collaborating with privacy engineering teams and business units to document data handling practices.

Key responsibilities

• Build out a Canadian ROPA program from the ground up, partnering with the client's privacy engineering team
• Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders to document systems, processes, and data handling practices across multiple business units
• Draft and maintain ROPA entries, adapting global structures to reflect Canada-specific business processes

Required qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience building or maintaining ROPAs in a North American context
• Prior experience at a senior analyst or engineer level within a privacy or GRC program
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to track outstanding items across multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with Quebec Law 25 or similar privacy regulations is a plus
• Comfortable working independently with light oversight while maintaining visibility with leadership
