Senior Privacy Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Privacy Counsel who will provide privacy guidance throughout the product development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary privacy advisor for product development, reviewing features and data practices for privacy implications
• Provide counseling on GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other privacy laws, translating requirements into actionable product guidance
• Coordinate with legal and product teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of privacy requirements

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one US state
• CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification
• 8 years of experience practicing privacy law with exposure to product counseling in a technology or SaaS environment
• Strong command of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other major US state privacy laws
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with non-legal stakeholders
