Senior Privacy Counsel

Job Summary

Leading the privacy legal program, the full-time Senior Privacy Counsel will manage U.S. state privacy compliance, adtech data governance, and product-embedded privacy initiatives while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the privacy legal program, ensuring compliance with U.S. state privacy laws and adtech regulations
• Build and maintain the legal review process for product lifecycle to embed privacy-by-design principles
• Advise on sensitive data categories and monitor the U.S. privacy regulatory landscape, providing updates and training to leadership

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience, including 3 years at a law firm and 5+ years in-house at a technology company
• Deep expertise in U.S. privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA, and experience with adtech data flows
• Proven ability to build and scale privacy programs and manage cross-functional collaboration
• Bachelor's degree and J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; active membership in a U.S. State Bar
• Experience using AI tools to enhance compliance monitoring and reporting
