Job Summary
Providing proactive legal guidance, the full-time Senior Privacy Counsel will support product teams in developing AI-first communication solutions while ensuring compliance with global privacy laws and regulations in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary privacy legal advisor, offering risk-based counsel to Engineering and Product Management throughout the development lifecycle
- Lead Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new features, embedding privacy requirements early in the development process
- Collaborate with the Information Security team to align legal privacy requirements with technical security implementations for new products
Required Qualifications
- J.D. Degree and active membership in good standing with at least one US state bar
- 6+ years of legal experience focused on data privacy, ideally with both law firm and in-house experience
- Direct experience advising product teams on privacy requirements while balancing business needs
- Deep working knowledge of major global privacy laws and their practical implementation in product innovation
- Understanding of legal and governance implications related to AI development and adoption
