Job Summary
Serving as a primary legal advisor on US and global privacy laws, the full-time Senior Privacy Counsel will manage compliance efforts, develop and implement privacy programs, and provide strategic guidance on privacy-related issues while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the global subject matter expert on US privacy laws and provide guidance on applicable global privacy regulations
- Develop, implement, and scale the global privacy program, including standardized privacy notices and internal policies
- Support and advise stakeholders on complex privacy, AI, and cyber issues, delivering pragmatic solutions in line with global privacy laws
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one US state bar, with 8+ years of legal experience, including 5 years focused on privacy matters
- Demonstrated experience with US privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA, and knowledge of GDPR and other global frameworks
- Experience implementing and maintaining global privacy compliance programs and tools
- Proven ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgment in resolving complex privacy issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice to stakeholders
