Job Summary
Owning significant portions of the global privacy program, the full-time Senior Privacy Counsel will manage legal and operational execution, advise on AI governance, and partner with product and engineering teams to embed privacy into AI-driven features while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the design and implementation of the global privacy program, ensuring compliance with various international privacy laws and frameworks
- Oversee the execution of the AI governance program, collaborating with R&D and security teams to meet legal obligations
- Partner with stakeholders to integrate privacy by design principles into new AI products and provide ongoing legal counseling for product development
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
- CIPP/E and CIPP/US certifications
- 6-8+ years of relevant experience in privacy and data protection law, particularly in technology or cybersecurity sectors
- Deep expertise in GDPR/UK GDPR and familiarity with EU AI Act, NIS2, and DORA regulations
- Demonstrated experience in managing privacy programs and providing product legal counseling in a fast-paced, global environment
