Job Summary
To ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations across the US, the full-time Senior Privacy Manager will advance data privacy programs through strategic oversight, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of the privacy program, including policy implementation and training initiatives
- Serve as the subject matter expert on privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and vendor risk assessments, ensuring timely completion and risk mitigation
- Manage privacy technology platforms and develop metrics to track program effectiveness and drive improvements
Required qualifications
- BA Degree required; JD Degree from an accredited law school preferred
- 7+ years of privacy experience (or 6+ years with a JD) including expertise in PIAs, ROPAs, and vendor risk assessments
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. privacy laws; familiarity with GDPR and Canadian privacy laws is a plus
- Expert proficiency with privacy compliance tools, such as OneTrust
- Experience in the life sciences or similar industry focused on data privacy and security is required
