Senior Product Counsel

Job Summary

Serving as the primary legal partner to product, engineering, and design teams, the full-time Senior Product Counsel will provide legal, business, and strategic counsel throughout the product life cycle for stablecoins, payments, and crypto infrastructure while working remotely and collaborating cross-functionally with various teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the legal advisory relationship for product teams, providing day-to-day legal guidance throughout the product life cycle
• Advise on U.S. and international regulatory requirements, including money transmission laws and banking regulations
• Drive resolution of novel legal issues by identifying risks and partnering with specialized colleagues across Legal

Required qualifications

• J.D. with 7+ years of legal experience, preferably in-house at a fintech or consumer technology company
• Deep familiarity with U.S. and global payments/financial services regulations applicable to crypto products
• Demonstrated ability to provide risk-adjusted legal guidance in ambiguous legal environments
• Track record of embedding with cross-functional teams and independently driving legal workstreams
• Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency and quality
