Senior Product Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing platform, the full-time Senior Product Engineer will architect and scale backend systems focused on billing, fraud detection, and high-throughput data pipelines in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and scale pipelines for real-time billing metering and invoicing across millions of events
• Develop payment flows that ensure correctness under concurrency and handle edge cases effectively
• Implement fraud detection mechanisms and scale systems to support high write loads and complex workflows

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and scaling backend systems, particularly with Postgres and Node.js
• Strong understanding of payment systems, including idempotency, retries, and reconciliation
• Experience managing complex asynchronous jobs, ideally with a workflow engine like Temporal
• Ability to write Engineering Requirement Documents and contribute to open-source projects
• Security-minded approach to system design with an awareness of potential abuse and fraud
