Senior Product Engineer

Job Summary

Owning and delivering medium-to-large financial systems projects, the full-time Senior Product Engineer will contribute to the FinOps team by building payments and billing infrastructure while mentoring junior engineers in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of FinOps projects from design to production
• Develop expertise in financial systems and serve as a technical resource for the team
• Participate in the Engineering Architecture Process and mentor junior engineers to enhance engineering practices

Required qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience with schema/API design and data modeling, preferably in Python/Django
• Deep proficiency in PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design
• Experience with third-party integrations in payments or financial systems, focusing on reliability
• Proven track record of managing medium-to-large projects with cross-functional coordination
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
