Senior Program Officer

Job Summary

Leading a significant grantmaking portfolio, the full-time Senior Program Officer will set strategy, evaluate funding opportunities, and mentor team members while working remotely to allocate hundreds of millions of dollars to impactful grantees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a grantmaking portfolio, focusing on cost-effective funding opportunities
• Conduct rigorous reviews of empirical evidence and cost-effectiveness models to inform funding decisions
• Communicate externally about grantmaking efforts and collaborate with Senior Researchers to integrate analysis into decision-making

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of professional experience in grantmaking or related roles
• Proven track record in using quantitative analysis and cost-effectiveness modeling
• Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs and research organizations
• History of managing large budgets or grant portfolios
• Strong ability to set and iterate on strategy in complex environments
