Senior Program Research Associate

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare analytics team, the fully remote Senior Program Research Associate will apply expertise in Medicare claims data and health cost modeling to design surveillance logic, investigate patterns, and build financial impact models that ensure accurate ACO performance measurement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain surveillance logic against Medicare claims data to detect patterns affecting ACO benchmarks and cost calculations
• Review flagged patterns, build financial impact models, and document findings to support ACO shared savings positions
• Develop operational flags and analytical outputs for stakeholders, ensuring clarity for non-technical audiences

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health economics, statistics, mathematics, health informatics, public health, computer science, or a related quantitative field
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics, with 3+ years specifically working with Medicare claims data
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or dbt, with experience in Snowflake or similar data platforms
• Demonstrated ability to apply health analytic methods such as cost decomposition and risk adjustment analysis
• Strong understanding of Medicare claims data structures and ability to translate complex data patterns into actionable insights
