Senior Programmer

Job Summary

To support long-term projects in a remote capacity, the contract Senior Programmer will manipulate large databases and generate reports to facilitate the analysis of real-world healthcare data assets.

Key responsibilities

• Manipulate large datasets and generate analytical reports for healthcare data exploration
• Create complex analysis data sets from various sources while identifying outliers and errors
• Build patient cohorts and evaluate healthcare events using observational research methods

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with high statistical content
• Minimum four years of SAS statistical programming experience
• Proficiency in database programming using SQL
• Experience with advanced statistical methods such as survival analysis and regression
• Familiarity with real-world healthcare claims and EHR data, including MarketScan, Optum, and Medicare databases
