Senior Programmer Analyst - Mainframe

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Programmer Analyst Mainframe - VSE (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and IT personnel to analyze system requests and develop specifications for new projects or maintenance of existing applications
• Prepare unit and integration test plans, conduct testing, and document findings while proposing problem resolution alternatives
• Serve as a Project Lead for smaller projects and mentor less experienced programmer/analysts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience in system development and support for mainframe-based applications
• Mastery of mainframe development tools such as COBOL, Easytrieve, CICS, VSAM, VSE/DOS, and zOS
• Experience with systems development life cycle and structured methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience working in a team environment
