Senior Project Accountant

Job Summary

Leading revenue accounting and compliance efforts, the full-time Senior Project Accountant will manage billing, revenue recognition, and project reconciliation while collaborating cross-functionally to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage revenue accounting for assigned business units, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 GAAP standards
• Lead month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support cross-functional training initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in revenue accounting or project-based environments
• Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Workday experience preferred
• Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
